Keith Erin Wallace, 46, of LaGrange died Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at 11:24 p.m. in his rural LaGrange County residence. He had been ill for eight weeks.
He was employed at Champion Homes in Topeka for over 15 years.
Keith loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was known by his friends as "turkey man" because of his expertise of hunting and calling in turkey.
He dearly loved and enjoyed his grandbabies. He will be missed by his family and his many friends.
He was born on February 5, 1965, in LaGrange County to Kenneth and Diana (Terry) Wallace.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Godsey) Wallace and they shared a deep love for over 27 years. He is also survived by two daughters, Lindsey (Jess) Delancey of Angola and Kayla Wallace, at home; three brothers, Kevin Wallace of albion, Shawn Wallace of Flagstaff, Arizona, and Jason Wallace of Corunna; a sister, Angie Fisher of Goshen; three grandchildren, Bailey, Lane, and Logan Delancey; his mother and stepfather, Diana and Marion Shrock of Goshen; his stepmother, Sue Wallace of Fisty, Kentucky; eight nieces and nephews; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leon and Sophronia Godsey of Stroh.
He was preceded in death by a son, Rusty Wallace; his father, Kenneth Wallace; a brother, Kenneth Wallace, Jr.; and his grandparents, Edna and Hershal Terry.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 22, 2011, at 2 p.m. in Bethel Christian Baptist Church, Kendallville with Pastor Wade Sturdivant officiating. Burial will be in Brushy Chapel Cemetery, LaGrange.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gavin Wallace and Reece Fisher. Active pallbearers will be Alan Terry, Tanner Terry, Luke Wallace, Jason Wallace, Ronnie Payne, Charlie Pettibone, Scott DeLong, and Corey Combs.
Calling is Friday, October 21, 2011, from 4 to 10 p.m. at the church where there will be an evening service at 7 p.m. Calling will also be on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville is in charge of arrangements.
