Calling: Saturday, August 16, 2014 - 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the funeral home ***************************************************************************************** Karen S. Holsinger, 71, of Wolcottville died Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at 9 p.m. in her residence.

She was a lifetime area resident.

Mrs. Holsinger worked as a waitress at the Twin Six Restaurant in Wolcottville for 23 years.

Karen enjoyed gardening and travelling all over the world with her husband. She especially loved her time with family.

She was born September 25, 1942, in Kendallville to Carl and Bonnie (Wray) Knafel. They preceded her in death.

On June 5, 1960, in Rome City she married John R. Holsinger, Jr.. He survives in Wolcottville.

Also surviving are two daughters, Dawn (Mike) Figgins of Colon, Michigan, and Jill (Willie) Wright of Rome City; two sons, Jeff (Tonda) Holsinger of Wolcottville and Brad (Judi) Holsinger of Avon; 12 grandchildren, Melinda (Fred Williams) Figgins, Erica (Jeff) Sickles, Kyle Figgins, Brian Figgins, Colton Wright, Chevy Wright, Cassandra Wright, Chelsea Holsinger, Keaton Holsinger, Kendyll Holsinger, Desiree (Stephen) Reynolds, and Carlee Holsinger; three great-grandchildren, Derrick Lockwood, Trevor Sickles, and Brystol Reynolds; a sister, Connie (Clairdon) Strater of Kendallville; and a brother, Terry Knafel of Indianapolis.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 16, 2014, at 2 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with Rev. Carldean Merrifield officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Wolcottville.

Pallbearers will be Chevy Wright, Colton Wright, Kyle Figgins, Brian Figgins, Keaton Holsinger, and Stephen Reynolds.

Calling is Saturday, August 16, 2014, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the funeral home.

Preferred memorials are to Parkview Noble Home Health & Hospice.
