Obituary

Karen Ann Everage, 46, of Roanoke died Tuesday, January 10, 2012, in her residence following a brief illness.

She had lived in Roanoke six years and 11 years in Fort Wayne. She was a graduate of Ravenscroft Beauty College in Fort Wayne.

Karen was a disc jockey with WLKI in Angola and WBTU in Fort Wayne where she was known as Karen Rage. She was also a hairdresser.

She was born June 24, 1965, in LaGrange to Merlan and Lois (Ritchie) Everage. Her parents survive in LaGrange.

Also surviving are a daughter, Candice M. Everage, at home; a sister, Connie Mattix of Columbus, Ohio; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Gary Everage of LaGrange and Craig and Colleen Everage of Angola; two nieces, Jami Everage and Kristy Mattix; and two nephews, Cruze Everage and Greg Everage.

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 14, 2012, at 10 a.m. in the Stroh Church of God. Burial will be in Woodruff Cemetery.

Calling is Friday, January 13, 2012, from 4 to 8 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville.

Preferred memorials are to her daughter. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and the church.
