Obituary

Kaleb Andrew Mapes, 5 months, of Ashley died unexpectedly Sunday, July 29, 2018, at his residence.

He was born February 10, 2018, in Auburn to Andrew Cody J Mapes and Katie Jo Pocock. They survive in Ashley.

Also surviving are his big brother, Kameron Mapes, at home; maternal grandmother, Angela (Joe) Kaufman of Fremont; maternal grandfather, Thornton Maver of Fremont; paternal grandmother, Sally Mapes of Story Lake; maternal great-grandmother, Peggy (Steve) Liggett of Pahrump, Nevada; maternal great-grandfather, Chris Brown of Fremont; paternal great-grandmother, Vernadean Landez of Kendallville; and maternal great great-grandmother, Jean Brown of Coldwater, Michigan;

He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Bart Landez.

Funeral services will be Thursday, August 2, 2018, at 12 p.m. at the Independent Full Gospel Church, 1000 South Gonser Street, Ashley with the Rev. Sam Weimer officiating.

Calling is Thursday, August 2, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the church.

Preferred memorials may be directed to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
