Obituary

Kaden Henry Lynn Wiese, 18, of Wolcottville, Indiana died Thursday evening, July 23, 2026, as the result of an auto accident near Topeka.

He was born March 15, 2008, in Fort Wayne, to Scott and Laura (Hart) Wiese.

Kaden was a student at Lakeland High School and was preparing to begin his senior year this fall. He was also in the welding program at the Impact Institute in Kendallville.

He was employed as a landscaper with Curb Appeal in Kendallville.

He enjoyed animals, spending time outdoors and found happiness in the simple things in life, especially fishing, hunting, and mowing the yard. Whether he was casting a line, spending time in the woods, Kaden appreciated hard work and the outdoors.

During his years at Lakeland High School, Kaden participated in both wrestling and football, building lasting friendships and creating many memories with his teammates and coaches.

Kaden will be remembered for his kind heart, his love for the outdoors, and the memories he created with family and friends that will be treasured always.

Surviving are his parents, Scott (Melissa) Wiese of LaGrange and Laura (Trent Fordeck) Wiese of Wolcottville; two sisters, Kristen (Clayton McCollum) Wiese of South Milford and Kloee Wiese of Wolcottville; maternal grandfather, Lynn Hart of Wolcottville; paternal grandmother, Cindy Yoder of LaGrange; a niece, Paislee Lacey; three nephews, Kannon Lacey, Weston Miller, and Maverick Miller; special friends, Cameron Zervos, Hunter Ellinger, Bryar Alleshouse, and Greyson Miller and his cat, Cletus.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Colleen Hart; paternal grandfather, Sam Wiese; and paternal step-grandfather, Willie Yoder.

Visitation will be Monday, July 27, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Tuesday, July 28, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville.

Funeral services will also be Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
