JW Combs, 74, of LaGrange, Indiana died Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

He was born May 16, 1951, in Montgomery, Knott County, Kentucky to Charles and Cassie (Napier) Combs.

On March 29, 1980, in Clintwood, Virginia he married Vickie Tuttle.

He honorably served in the U.S. Marines from 1971 to 1979, during the Vietnam War.

He retired from Morgan Olson in Sturgis, Michigan after 31 years with the company.

JW enjoyed fishing and playing cards.

Surviving are his wife, Vickie Combs of LaGrange; two sons, Richard S. (Jennifer) Combs of Angola and Daniel T. Combs of LaGrange and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by seven sisters, Judy Combs, Pauline Combs, Herma Terry, Armantha Terry, Betty Martin, Cynthia Ann Miller, and Josephine Shipe; and four brothers, John Combs, Larry Combs, Richard Combs, and Rev. Lee Combs.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville and one hour prior to the funeral on Friday at the church.

Funeral services will be Friday, November 21, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Five Corners Baptist Church, 2995 E 600 S, Wolcottville, with Pastor Michael Little of Helmer Independent Baptist Church officiating.

Burial will follow at Woodruff Cemetery in Woodruff.

Pallbearers will be Richard Combs, Ralph Tuttle, Dan Faulkner, Eric Moore, John Watson, and Wendell Tuttle.

Honor guard services will be provided by the Veterans Honor Guard.
