June Ellen Brennan, 85, of Kendallville died Monday, October 25, 2010, at 10:55 p.m. in her residence.

Mrs. Brennan graduated from Kendallville High School. She had previously worked in the office of Trenton Garment Company. She was a dedicated wife and mom of five children.

She was a lifelong member of Faith United Methodist Church in Kendallville. She was also a member of Beta Associate Chapter of Tri Kappa and Elks Ladies. She enjoyed helping with Noble County Community Concerts.

She was born April 9, 1925, in Kendallville, to Geoffrey L. and Mabel E. (Richard) Browand. On December 26, 1946, in Kendallville she married Robert R. Brennan. He survives in Kendallville.

Also surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Tom Smith of Kendallville and Linda and David Leamon of Kendallville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey R. and Kay Brennan of Kendallville and Michael J. and Kathy Brennan of Elmhurst, Illinois; 13 grandchildren, Eric Smith, Nathan Smith, Jennifer Riecke, Melissa Andrews, Chuck Leamon, Brian Brennan, Joshua Brennan, Zachary Brennan, Angela Mihal, Callie Brennan, Sam Brennan, Greta Brennan, and Johnny Brennan; and 15 great grandchildren, Brennan Smith, Riley Smith, Mason Smith, Zakkary Howell, Chelsea Riecke, Quinton Howell, Lucas Riecke, Whitney Weimer, Paige Weimer, Walker Leamon, Kristi Brennan, Kelli Brennan, Nathan Brennan, Cameron Brennan, and Owen Brennan.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Browand and Ruth Fitzpatrick, and a son, Timothy Patrick Brennan on June 3, 1988.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 29, 2010, at 11 a.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville with Rev. Leon Pomeroy officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville.

Casketbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons.

Calling is Thursday, October 28, 2010, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials are to Foundations of Noble County or Faith United Methodist Church.
