Judy K. DeLong, 74, of Angola and formerly of Flint died Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at her residence.
She was born November 18, 1945, in Angola to Ralph and Pauline (Petre) Schieber.
Ms. DeLong worked at Halex in Hamilton and Eagle Picher in Ashley.
Judy enjoyed crocheting and loved family get-togethers. She was a great cook and could whip up anything, even without a recipe. Everyone loved her food and that will be missed.
Surviving are a daughter, Norene (David) Keller of Pleasant Lake; two sons, Foster K. Creager, Jr. of New York and Leroy J. (Brandi Lynn) DeLong of Angola; seven grandchildren, Anna (Brad) Dickinson, Jantel Payne, Joe Robert Hemsoth, Berlin Frederick Hasch, III, Serenity Ann DeLong, Eboni June DeLong, and Raylee Ilene DeLong; a great-grandchild on the way; a sister, Lillie Smith of South Bend; and a brother Larry Schieber of Pleasant Lake.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wilson on July 4, 1999; two sisters, Josephine Orten and Clela Joan Dickerson; and five brothers, Donald "Dean", Jack, Karl, Wendall, and Enos Schieber.
Private burial will be at Flint Cemetery.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, September 19, 2020, at 11 a.m. at the Stroh Church of Christ, 4540 S 1100 W, Hudson with Pastor Donna Holcomb of the Helmer United Methodist Church officiating.
The family will receive guests on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
Preferred memorials may be directed to the Stroh Church of Christ or the Helmer United Methodist Church.
Young Family Funeral Home, Hudson-Ashley Chapel, 612 North Main Street, Hudson is assisting the family with arrangements.
