Judith J. "Judi" Dodane, 77, of Adams Lake, Wolcottville died Saturday, July 16, 2016, at 8:23 a.m. in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
She had lived in this area 20 years, coming from Fort Wayne.
Mrs. Dodane had worked as the assistant branch manager at Chase Bank in Fort Wayne.
She was a member of St. Gaspar Catholic Church in Rome City and the Rosary Sodality. She was also a member of Tri Kappa in Fort Wayne and the Red Hat Society.
She was born January 29, 1939, in Fort Wayne to Edward and Marcella (Nomina) Weingartner. On June 11, 1960, in Fort Wayne she married Lawrence J. "Pinky" Dodane. He preceded her in death on March 28, 2015.
Surviving are two daughters, Laura (Gary) Kroll of Waterford, Michigan, and Lydia Guzowski (Steven) McKnee of Warren, Michigan; two sons, James (Joyce) Dodane of Kendallville and John (Karen) Dodane of Westland, Michigan; eight grandchildren, Kyle Guzowski, John Kroll, Victoria Guzowski, Kara Dodane, Jake Kroll, Julia Kroll, Anna Dodane, and Erica Dodane; two step-grandchildren, Sean McKnee and Sydney McKnee; and a sister, Anne Marie Hosp of West Lafayette.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Constance Truemper; three brothers, Joseph E. Weingarnter, Donald Weingartner, and James Weingartner; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Kroll.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at 11 a.m. in St. Gaspar Catholic Church with, Father Bernard Ramenaden officiating. Burial will be in St. Gaspar Catholic Cemetery, Rome City.
Pallbearers will be John Kroll, Jake Kroll, Kyle Guzowski, Dan Weingartner, Cameron Truemper, and Art Weingartner.
Calling is Monday, July 18, 2016, from 2 to 7 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville where there will be a Rosary service at 7 p.m. Calling will also be one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
Preferred memorials are to Turnstone Center in Fort Wayne, Presence Sacred Heart Home in Avilla, or Masses to St. Gaspar.
