Obituary

Joyce Ann Sparrow, 68, of Wolcottville died Sunday, April 8, 2007, at her residence. She was born December 11, 1938, in Chicago to Harold and Irene (Brain) Bates. She and her husband moved to Witmer Lake in 1963 from Chicago. She had worked in the cafeteria at the LaGrange Hospital from 1979-2000. She attended St. Gaspar Catholic Church, Rome City. On April 4, 1959, in Chicago she married Donald G. Sparrow. He preceded her in death on April 20, 1988. Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Dave and Fran Sparrow of Wolcottville, Jim and Robyn Sparrow of LaGrange, and Bob and Angel Sparrow of Warsaw; three grandsons, Isaiah, Jeremy and Nicholas Sparrow; and one great granddaughter, Aubrey Sparrow. Services will be Thursday, April 12, 2007, at 2 p.m. at St.Gaspar Catholic Church, Rome City, with Fr. Matt Jozefiak officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Wolcottville. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 11, 2007 from 5-7 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel. Preferred memorials are to the LaGrange County Animal Shelter.
