Obituary

Joyce A. Pease, 79, of Rome City died Tuesday, October 6, 2020, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

She was born January 6, 1941, in Fort Wayne to Charles and Pearl (McLaughlin) Niedermeyer.

On August 27, 1960, in Fort Wayne she married Joseph Max Pease, Sr. He preceded her in death on October 9, 2014.

Mrs. Pease moved to this area in 1976, coming from Fort Wayne.

She was a member of the Wolcottville United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Christina Owsley of Rome City; a son, Joseph Max (Lisa) Pease, Jr. of Fort Wayne; a daughter-in-law, Kim Pease of Cornwall, England; seven grandchildren, Katie Pease, David Pease, Bethany Pease, Sarah Pease, Jake Pease, Hunter Taylor, and Cassidy Owsley; five great-grandchildren, Jasper, Honour, Elijah, Liam, and Xavier; three sisters, Norma Nidermeyer, Linda Cochran, and Bonnie Royal all of Fort Wayne; and a brother, Charles Niedermeyer of Fort Wayne.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Brad Pease in December, 2011; two sisters, Mary Cook and Betty Niedermeyer; and a brother, Richard Niedermeyer.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville is assisting the family with arrangements.
