Joshua J. Dalrymple, 33, of Angola, Indiana, died Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was born March 11, 1988, in Angola, Indiana, to Richard and Evelyn (Shannon) Dalrymple. He was a 2007 graduate of East Noble High School. Josh was an avid Chicago Bears fan and loved music of all kinds. Surviving are a daughter, Luci Dalrymple of Kendallville; a son, Joshua James "JJ" Dalrymple of Columbia City; his mother, Evelyn Smith of Angola; his father and stepmother, Richard and Sherrie Dalrymple of Angola; a sister, Heidi Ernsberger Harris of Angola; a brother, Richard J. Dalrymple of Florida; paternal grandparents, Donna and Hugh Voges of Angola; and paternal step grandmother, Treva Ernsberger of Kendallville. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Richard Dalrymple; and step grandfather, Wilbur Ernsberger. A memorial visitation will be Sunday, February 27, 2022, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville. A celebration of life service will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Daryl Emowrey of Calvary Lutheran Church in Angola officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Lake View Cemetery in Kendallville. Preferred memorials may be made to the family for funeral expenses. As tragic as Josh's death is to his family and friends, his family honored his wishes to be an organ donor. On Saturday, he gave the gift of life to five individuals through organ donation and countless others through tissue donation.
