Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at 1 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville.
Calling is Monday, October 13, 2014, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. ************************************************************************************** Joseph Max Pease, Sr., 74, of Rome City died Thursday, October 9, 2014, at 5:30 p.m. in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
He moved to this area in 1976, coming from Fort Wayne.
Mr. Pease served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1957 to 1961.
He retired after 24 years as a mail carrier for the Fort Wayne Post Office. He was a member of the Wolcottville United Methodist Church.
He was born April 20, 1940, in Fort Wayne to Glenn and Helen (Monnier) Pease.
On August 27, 1960, in Fort Wayne he married Joyce Ann Niedermeyer. She survives in Rome City.
Also surviving are a daughter, Christina (DeWayne) Owsley of Wawaka; a son, Joseph Max Pease, Jr. (Lisa) of Fort Wayne; a daughter-in-law, Kim Pease of Cornwall, England; seven grandchildren, Katie Pease, David Pease, Bethany Pease, Sarah Pease, Jake Pease, Hunter Taylor, and Cassidy Owsley; and two great-grandchildren, Jasper Pease and Honour Pease.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Brad Pease in December, 2011.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at 1 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with Pastor Jack Thomas of the Wolcottville United Methodist Church officiating.
Honor guard services will be provided by Rome City American Legion Post 381, Kendallville VFW Post 249, Kendallville American Legion Post 86, and active duty members of the U.S. Marine Corps.
