Obituary

John Andrew Simon, 66, of Hudson formerly of Garrett, died Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 9:17 p.m. in Parkview Noble Hospital, Kendallville.

He was born February 2, 1953, in Garrett to Isidore and Phyllis (Searfoss) Simon.

Mr. Simon retired from the Town of Garrett Water Department.

He had lived most of his life in Garrett having moved to Hudson in 2013.

Surviving is a sister, Mary Holmes of Hudson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Marty Holmes.

Funeral services will be Monday, July 15, 2019 at 12 Noon at Independent Full Gospel Church, 1302 South Gosner St, Ashley, with Pastor Sam Weimer officiating. Burial will be in Corunna Cemetery, Corunna.

Casketbearers will be Fred Mavis, Derek Stafford, and Alex Mapes.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.

Preferred memorials are to the family.

Young Family Funeral Home, Hudson-Ashley Chapel, 612 North Main Street, Hudson is assisting the family with arrangements.
