John Alan Britt, 74, of Rome City, Indiana, died unexpectedly on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at his residence.

He was born November 12, 1949, in Magnolia, Arkansas, to Earsey Harris and Melb a Mae (Deloach) Britt.

He honorably served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Britt was a self-employed siding applicator.

John enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing.  He always loved being on the river in Arkansas.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, E.H. "Buddy" and Lisa Britt of Wolcottville; six grandchildren; a great-grandchild due in December; and a brother, David Britt of California.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Britt.

There will be no visitation or services.

Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville is assisting the family with arrangements.
