Jodi Suzanne Blackburn, 60, of Angola, Indiana, was called to her heavenly home Monday, December 25, 2023, surrounded by her family.

She was born September 21, 1963, in Fort Benning, Georgia, to Bernard and Patricia (Myers) Weiss.

On July 2, 1983, in Mongo she married Timothy R. Blackburn.

Mrs. Blackburn was a homemaker and a milkhauler's wife.

She was a member of the Hudson United Brethren Church and a former member of the LaGrange Extension Homemakers.

Jodi enjoyed gardening, sewing, and fishing with Tim. She took great pride in food preservation and filling the pantry. She served as treasurer at the Hudson United Brethren Church and dearly loved her church family and helping to prepare dinners at the church.

Surviving are her husband, Tim Blackburn of Angola; a son, Matthew (Christa) Blackburn of Lafayette; two daughters, Marjorie (Andrew) Hershman and Kelly (Evan) Howe of Hudson; five grandchildren, Evelyn Hershman, Elliot Hershman, Everett Hershman, Lena Blackburn, and Willa-June Howe; her father, Bernard Weiss of Mongo; and a brother, Jon (Angie) Weiss of Angola.

She was preceded in death by her mother; and a sister, Juli Heller.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 28, 2023, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Hudson United Brethren Church, 516 North Main Street, Hudson, Indiana, and one hour prior to the service on Friday.

The funeral service will be Friday, December 29, 2023, at 10 a.m. at the church with Pastor Craig Burkholder officiating.

Burial will follow at Circle Cemetery near Hudson.

Pallbearers are Matthew Blackburn, Andrew Hershman, Evan Howe, Jon Weiss, Dane Blackburn, and Aiden Weiss.

Memorials may be directed to the Hudson United Brethren Church.
