Obituary

Jerry R. Myers, 74, of Wolcottville died Saturday, April 21, 2018, at 10:53 p.m. at Parkview LaGrange Hospital in LaGrange.

He was born March 20, 1944, in Garrett to Calvin and Alice (Clark) Myers.

Mr. Myers retired from Shultz Mobile Homes in Middlebury.

He was a member of the Kendallville American Legion Post 86 SAL.

Surviving are two daughters, Monica (Everet) Miller of Milford and Michelle (Patrick) Swindle of Virginia Beach, Virginia; six grandchildren, Marlene Miller, Matthew (Tierra) Miller, Allen Miller, Mark Miller, Jessica Miller, and Nathanial Swindle; two great grandchildren, October Rayne Beer and Ariah Sosay Walker; a sister, Sherry (Steve) Huffman of Kendallville; and the mother of his children, Ellowene Myers of Nappanee.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Myers; and a brother, Terry Myers.

Viewing will be Saturday, April 28, 2018, from 10 a.m. to noon at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville, with the funeral service to begin at noon. Pastor Stephen Huffman, Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, LaGrange at a later date.
