Memorial service to be held at a later date. ********************************************************************************** Jerry L. Kline, 78, of Apopka, Florida, and formerly of Huntington died Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at 10:38 a.m. in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.

He and his wife moved to Florida in 1973, coming from Huntington. After his retirement in 1992, he spent the summers at Big Long Lake in LaGrange County.

Jerry honorably served in the U.S. Navy.

He was a life member of both the VFW and American Legion Posts in Apopka, Florida.

Mr. Kline worked for 30 years as an elevator mechanic for Otis Elevator Company in Fort Wayne and Orlando.

He was born June 4, 1936, in Huntington to Herbert and Doris (Strouse) Kline.

Surviving are his wife, Pauline (Bailer) Kline of Apopka, Florida; three daughters, Denise (Ray) Miller of Apopka, Florida, Diane (Clark) Pickett of Flowery Branch, Georgia, and Donna (Scott) Latham of Newburgh, Indiana; three sons, Steve (Susan) Kline of Olney, Maryland, Scott (Chris) Kline of San Diego, California, and Kurt (Alana) Kline of Ocala, Florida; eight grandchildren, Michael Kline, Laura Kline, Melissa Miller, Kacie Miller, Mackenzie Pickett, Andrew Pickett, Michelle Latham, and Thomas Latham; a great-grandson, Ryan Latham; a sister, Dolores Holmes of Yulee, Florida, and a brother, Ken Kline of Anderson, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Clarence Kline.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
