Local businessman, Jerry Anderson, 72, of Kendallville, Indiana, died unexpectedly on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at his residence.
He was born August 26, 1952, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, to Francis and Motae "Martha" (Morishta) Anderson.
On September 4, 1971, in Kendallville he married Deanna L. Deter.
He honorably served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Anderson owned and operated Tri County Water Conditioning in Kendallville, retiring after 40 years in business.
Jerry was gifted with mechanical knowledge and the ability to fix anything and everything and he found great joy in doing this for others. He enjoyed golfing, hot rods, antique cars, racing go-carts, off-roading, riding motorcycles, and fishing. But most of all, he was extremely proud of his sons.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Deanna L. Anderson of Kendallville; two sons, Brian (Robin) Anderson of Kendallville and Jason (Jennifer Neely) Anderson of Kendallville; eight grandchildren, Channing Anderson, Tyler Anderson, Laine Anderson, Zoe Anderson, Justin Chadwell, Alissa Mapes, Taylor Rex, and Nicholas Rex; two great-grandchildren, Myla Mapes and Mason Mapes; and a sister, Melinda Schroeder of Kendallville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Butch Anderson and William Anderson; and an infant sister, Belinda Anderson.
A celebration of life service is being planned for a later date.
