Graveside service will be held Saturday, May 16, 2015, at 1 p.m. in Cedar Creek Cemetery, 6828 CR 11A, Auburn. **************************************************************************************** Jeri L. Walter, 75, of Kendallville died Monday, May 11, 2015.

He moved to this area five years ago, coming from Auburn where he had lived for most of his life.

Mr. Walter retired from International Harvester in Fort Wayne and Springfield, Ohio, after 30 years.

He was born May 16, 1939, in Evansville to Weston and Louise (Lohman) Walter. His parents preceded him in death.

On May 7, 2011, in Kendallville he married Allyson Witt. She survives in Kendallville.

Also surviving are a daughter, Tammy (Stan) Mack of St. Joe; a son, Scott (Lisa) Walter of Auburn; two step-sons, Greg Witt of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Tristan (Amanda) Witt of South Bend; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Tom Walter of Auburn; and a sister, Diane Hunt of Brownsburg.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 16, 2015, at 1 p.m. in Cedar Creek Cemetery, 6828 CR 11A, Auburn with Pastor Angie Kidd officiating.

Preferred memorials are to Friendship Food Pantry, 2004 Dowling Street, Kendallville, Indiana, 46755, Kendallville VFW Post 2749, 127 Veterans Way, Kendallville, Indiana, 46755, Elks National Foundation, 2740 North Lakeview Avenue, Chicago, Illinois, 60614, or the donor's choice.

Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville is assisting the family with arrangements.
