Calling: Monday, April 21, 2014 - 2 to 8 p.m. in the church *********************************************************************************** Jeremy Allen Hays, 39, of Albion died Thursday, April 17, 2014, at 12:35 p.m. in his residence surrounded by his family.

He was a lifetime area resident.

Jeremy was a member of the Stroh Church of Christ.

He had worked as a supervisor for Nisco in Topeka.

Jeremy enjoyed hunting and being outdoors. He was a fan of all sports, but, most of all, he dearly loved spending time with his family.

He was born May 12, 1974, in Kendallville to Lanny A. and Octavia (Patrick) Hays.

On June 11, 2012, in Tennessee he married Tammi R. Carter. She survives in Albion.

Also surviving are two sons, Isaac Hays of LaGrange and Zachary Hays of Albion; a stepdaughter, Amanda Mickem of Albion; a stepson, Shawn Bortner of Auburn; two grandchildren, Alissa Mickem and Andrew Nelson; his mother and stepfather, Octavia and Sam Perkins of Hudson; his father and stepmother, Lanny and Victoria Hays of Cromwell; a brother, Jamie (Jennifer) Hays of Wolcottville; two stepbrothers, Jon Ruiz of Cromwell and Chad Perkins of Wolcottville; two stepsisters, Jessica (Todd) Butler of Stroh and Kaleena (Brad) Cole of Kendallville; and maternal grandparents, Lexie and Mary Patrick of LaGrange.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, John and Maxine Hays; and a stepsister, Jessica Ruiz.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at 11 a.m. in the Stroh Church of Christ, 4540 S 1100 W, Hudson with Pastor Mike Hamm officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Albion.

Calling is Monday, April 21, 2014, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the church.
