Jennifer Ann Speaker, 57, of Kendallville, Indiana, died Sunday, November 28, 2021, at her residence with her family at her side. She was born October 29, 1964, in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, to Bob and Dorris (Mullins) BeringOn January 15, 1983, in Green Center she married Douglas A. Speaker. Mrs. Speaker was employed for 23 years as an account manager at LSC Communications, formerly Courier in Kendallville. She was a member of Kendallville American Legion Post 86 Auxiliary and the United States Bowling Congress.Jennifer was an avid bowler. She enjoyed doing crafts and riding motorcycles. Being a fan of softball and baseball, she loved to watch her daughter and grandchildren playing in these sports. And, she loved her cat, Misty. Surviving are her husband, Doug Speaker of Kendallville; two daughters, Brandy (Steve) Hatton of Albion and Jordan Speaker of Kendallville; four grandchildren, Lane Wolfe, Landen Wolfe, Sierra Hatton, and Skyler Hatton; her mother, Dorris Bering of Albion; a sister, Tina (Todd) Stringfellow of Wawaka; a brother, Bobby (Dana) Bering of Columbia City; and her mother-in-law, Jan Gibson of Kendallville. She was preceded in death by her father on March 18, 2021. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 10 a.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville with Pastor Bret Frymier of Trinity United Methodist Church in Albion officiating. Burial will follow at Sweet Cemetery. Honorary pallbearer is Landen Wolfe. Active pallbearers are Brian Mapes, Todd Stringfellow, Jacob Stringfellow, Cole Bering, Skyler Hatton, and Lane Wolfe. Visitation is Friday, December 3, 2021, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
