Obituary

Jeffrey D. Lawhorn, 45, of Topeka died Sunday, March 8, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Mr. Lawhorn came to Indiana at the age of four. He was raised in Elkhart, and has lived in Topeka for the last 17 years.

He was born March 29, 1963, in Charleston, West Virginia, to Coy and Eileen (Judd) Lawhorn. He was married April 29, 1990, in Topeka to Tina Bender.

Surviving are his wife, Tina Lawhorn of Topeka; four daughters and a son-in-law, Danielle and Tim Troyer of Elkhart, Jennifer Lawhorn of Goshen, Robyn Lawhorn of Topeka, and Rebecca Lawhorn of Topeka; his father, Coy Lawhorn of Bristol; and two brothers, Ronald Lawhorn of Middlebury and Charles Lawhorn of Elkhart.

His mother preceded him in death.

A private burial service will take place Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at Eden Cemetery, Topeka, followed by a public memorial service at 11 a.m. at the Prairieview Missionary Church, 2612 Dierdorff Road, Goshen with Pastor Craig Lambright and Pastor Lyn Stutzman officiating.

Calling will be Tuesday, March 10, 2009, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the church. Preferred memorials are to the Jeffrey Lawhorn Memorial Fund in care of Farmers State Bank. Envelopes will be available at the church.
