Jeanne Lee Williams, 78, of Kendallville died Sunday, June 18, 2017, at 7:39 p.m. in Presence Sacred Heart Home, Avilla following a short illness
She was born December 26, 1938, in Bixby, Oklahoma, to Archie Bottoms and Ruby (Linker) Bottoms-White.
On October 6, 1956, in Las Vegas, Nevada, she married Curtis L. Williams. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Williams had resided in this area for 30 years.
She and her husband owned and operated the fruit market at U.S. 6 and State Road 9 near Kendallvile for many years. She also worked at Presence Sacred Heart Home in Avilla as a dietary aid for 17 years.
Jeanne enjoyed playing bingo, being outdoors, camping, and travelling. She dearly loved her children and grandchildren and just enjoyed being together as a family.
Surviving are two daughters, Candy (Ron) Jones of South Daytona, Florida, and Cathy (Pat) Ley of Kendallville; three sons, Steve Williams of Kendallville, Gary (Karen Stroup) Williams of Albion, and Larry Williams of Kendallville; nine grandchildren, Jason Stoneburner of Kendallville, Terra (Chris Zimmerman) Williams of Kendallville, Matthew Williams of Ligonier, Blake Williams of Leo, Colten Williams of Avilla, Tessa Ley of Kendallville, Victor Ley of Kendallville, Curtis Ley of Kendallville, and Brittany Williams of Canton, Ohio; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Wayne Williams; two sisters, Annabelle Christ and Vera Pearl Conrad; and a brother, and J.C. Bottoms.
There will be no funeral services at this time. A memorial service is being planned for a later date.
