Jean Ann Brickley, 89, of Wolcottville, Indiana died Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Orchard Pointe Health Campus in Kendallville.
She was born August 19, 1936, in Wells County, Indiana to Charles P. and June Nerene (Williams) Munson.
On May 30, 1954, she married Clarence K. “Casey” Brickley. He preceded her in death on October 16, 2007.
Jean served as a rural mail carrier in Wolcottville for 20 years and supported the family restaurant, Bill & Casey's.
She loved flowers, interior design, music, sewing, and fresh fish from the lake. She shared her creative talents by making many of the costumes for the Lakeland theatre program, as well as decorating nearly every family member's home. Above all, her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren, who brought her endless happiness and pride.
Surviving are five daughters, Brenda (Dan) Levitz of Angola; Kris (Bruce Griffin) Reade of Wolcottville; Penny (Steve) Miller of LaGrange; Pam (Dan) Hann of Leesburg; and Amy (Jim) Gerardot of Wolcottville; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren with one more on the way; a sister, Ruby Huggins of Wolcottville; and a sister-in-law, Judy Cupp of Bluffton.
She was also preceded in death by her father, Charles Munson; her mother, June Lindsey; a son-in-law, Mike Reade; three brothers, Rex Munson, Rod Munson, and Max Munson; a sister-in-law, Nanette Munson; and a brother-in-law, William Huggins, III.
Funeral service will be Monday, April 13, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9, North, Wolcottville with Chaplain Ken Weaver officiating.
Visitation will also be on Monday, beginning at 12 noon until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery in Wolcottville.
Casketbearers will be Dan Levitz, Jr., John Levitz, Mike Levitz, Jack Miller, Ryan Hann, Chris Gerardot, Nick Gerardot, and Nate Gerardot.
Preferred memorials are to LaGrange County Parks Department or Parkview Hospice.
