Janis L. Deam, 75, of Wolcottville, Indiana, died Friday, October 14, 2022, in Kendallville.

She was born December 27, 1946, in Bluffton to Kenneth and Blenda (Mowery) Harrold.

On March 27, 1971, in Poneto, Indiana she married Kenneth Deam. He survives in Wolcottville.

Mrs. Deam had worked as an accountant for 33 years with the Van Wert County Hospital. Prior to that she worked at Franklin Electric in Bluffton.

Janis enjoyed fishing, camping, and reading, but she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Also surviving is a daughter, Natalie Batten of Melbourne, Florida; a son, Nathan Deam of Redlands, California; four grandchildren, Marina (Frankie) Lopez, Mason Chamblee, Braydon Batten, and Olyvia Deam; four great-grandchildren, Catallia Lopez, Jericho Lopez, Ingrid Lopez, and Hazel Lopez; and a brother, Lin (Karen) Harrold of Bluffton.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Per Janis' wishes there will be no visitation or services.
