Janet Louise Tidd, 76, of Kendallville, Indiana, died Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Parkview Randallia Hospital in Fort Wayne.
She was born December 19, 1945, in Charleroi, Pennsylvania, to Robert Mylo and Thelma (Brooks) Tidd and was one fourth Native American.
Ms. Tidd moved to this area two years ago, coming from California via Michigan.
She had worked in management her entire life.
Janet enjoyed crocheting, playing on the computer, Bingo, and going to the casino. Her grandchildren remembered her as being a master of the claw machine. She was an avid reader who loved to travel, and has visited many places throughout the world. She was also a very good piano player.
Surviving are a daughter, Carrie Lee (Larry D.) Leffel of Kendallville; two grandchildren, Larry J. Leffel of Albion and Rebecca C. Leffel of Schaumburg, Illinois; and a brother, Robert Charles Tidd of Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A celebration of life service is being planned for a later date.
