Jane L. Russell, 76, of Albion, Indiana died Sunday, December 28, 2025 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

She was born February 6, 1949, in Kendallville to Fern (Truelove) Wright.

Jane was a homemaker. Before retiring, she worked at several local companies, including Avilla Rubber in Avilla, Kraft Foods in Kendallville, Group Dekko in Avilla and WalMart in Kendallville.

Outside of work, she found joy in simple, meaningful pleasures—planting and tending her flowers, and filling her kitchen with the comforting aroma of her baking.

Surviving are a daughter, Tara (Steve Pfleidner) Russell of Avilla; two sons, Todd (Dawn Croft) Reinert of Albion and Jason Reinert of Albion; three grandchildren, Audry Ramer, Daren Ramer, and Brenden Campbell; a great-grandson, Mason Wilcox; a brother, Gail (Pam) Bainbridge of Auburn; a brother-in-law, Jim Tilghman of Fort Wayne; and her faithful companion, her beloved dog, Dusty.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Fern Wright; a granddaughter, Erin Campbell; a great-grandson, Grayson Wilcox; and her step-sister, Linda Tilghman.

Funeral services will be Monday, January 5, 2026, at 1 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville with Pastor Nate Mosley of Grace Christian Church in Kendallville officiating.

Visitation will also be on Monday, January 5, 2026, beginning at 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at the funeral home.
