Service: Monday, January 27, 2014 - 10 a.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel
Calling: Sunday, January 26, 2014 - 2 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home *************************************************************************************** Daleen Jan Taulbee, 55, of Kendallville died Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at 11:38 a.m. in IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was a lifetime area resident.
Mrs. Taulbee was a Licensed Practical Nurse. She had worked for CompreCare Home Health in Kendallville and Provena Sacred Heart Home in Avilla. She was currently employed by Miller's Merry Manor in LaGrange and Kendallville Manor in Kendallville.
She was a member of Grace Christian Church in Kendallville.
Jan enjoyed antiquing, baking, and canning. She also liked being outdoors, gardening, fishing, and four-wheeling. And, she dearly loved her grandchildren.
She was born January 19, 1959, in Kendallville to Bernard and Joan (Leatherman) Bushong. Her mother survives in Albion.
On September 15, 1979, in Albion she married Michael J. "Mike" Taulbee. He survives in Kendallville.
Also surviving are a daughter, Janelle (Matt) Spencer of Fishers; a son, Adam (Samantha) Taulbee of Kendallville; three grandchildren, Nella Spencer, Knox Spencer, and Crew Spencer; a sister, Michele (Greg) Bricker of Albion; two brothers, Michael (Kim) Bushong of North Vernon and Steve (Jackie) Bushong of Albion; and her father-in-law, Ted Geiger of Big Lake, Albion.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bernard Bushong, and her mother-in-law, Marjorie Geiger.
Funeral services will Monday, January 27, 2014, at 10 a.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville with Pastor Chris Mosley of Grace Christian Church in Kendallville officiating. Burial will be in Wolf Lake Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bob Hippensteel, Randy Hippensteel, Ryan Bricker, Thane Bushong, Joe Lortie, and Trent Marsh.
Preferred memorials are to the Humane Society of Noble County, 1305 South Sherman Street, Kendallville.
Calling is Sunday, January 26, 2014, from 2 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
