Obituary

James "Jim" K. Seidel, 67, a resident of Elk Grove, Illinois for 34 years, was born on April 27, 1951 in Kendallville and passed away suddenly on June 22, 2018.

Jim was a proud US Navy veteran serving as a laboratory technician stationed in Guam. He enjoyed classical music, especially classical pipe organ, British culture and physical fitness.

Jim was the loving husband of 35 years to Elizabeth (nee Flanigan), cherished son of Lorraine (nee Karlen) and the late Norman; adoring father of Lauren (Mike) Niemerg, Kent (Sarah-Jean) and Lynsey; fond grandfather of Lily and Audrey; dear brother of Deb Campell; beloved uncle of Luke, Shelley, Zack, Drew and Dirk; dear friend to many. He will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.

A memorial visitation will be held Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville.
