Obituary

Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at 11 a.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville. Burial will be in Woodruff Cemetery.

Calling is Monday, May 25, 2015, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. ************************************************************************************** James Edward (Bud) Ramey, 70, of Stroh died Thursday, May 21, 2015, at 4:50 a.m. in his residence with his family at his side.

He had lived in this area most of his life, coming from Kentucky.

Mr. Ramey raised, trained and raced horses for over 40 years.

James was an avid Kentucky basketball fan. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He was born April 30, 1945, in Garrett, Kentucky, to Tandy and Geraldine (Bolen) Ramey. His father preceded him in death, and his mother survives in Avilla.

On January 10, 1981, in South Milford he married Janice (Combs) Conley. She survives in Stroh.

Also surviving are a daughter, Margaret (Mike) Blankenship of Stroh; two sons, Kenneth(Sherri) Ramey of Cree Lake and Rodney (Paula) Ramey of Stroh; five stepchildren he raised as his own, Carol (Johnny) Torrez of Stroh, James (Rhonda) Conley of Stroh, Richard Conley of LaGrange, Donald Conley of Stroh, and Finley (Dee) Conley of Stroh; 17 grandchildren, Zachary Ramey, Andrea Bauman, Kendra Ramey, Kamren Ramey, Brandon Blankenship, April Blankenship, Chris Ramey, Karis Tuttle, Courtney Torrez, Riley Conley, Chanda Conley, Meriah Brockhaus, Aisha Conley, Amanda Ritchie, Daryl Ritchie, Brianna Torrez, and Jordan Torrez; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Andy Ramey; a grandson, Rusty Wallace; and a great-granddaughter, Cherish Mae Tuttle.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at 11 a.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with Rev. Willie Collins and Rev. Larry Anglemyer, Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Woodruff Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers are Chris Ramey, James Messer, and Willie Collins. Active pallbearers are Zach Ramey, Kamren Ramey, Finley Conley, Richard Conley, Donald Conley, Jimmy Conley, and Daryl Emerick.
