Obituary

James E. "Boz" Blotkamp, 65, of Wolcottville died Saturday, January 30, 2016, at 3:52 a.m. in Visiting Nursing & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.

He was a lifetime area resident.

Mr. Blotkamp retired as an engineer, having worked at Dana and Harvester in Fort Wayne.

Jim enjoyed being around people. He was a stranger to no one. He loved ice fishing, fly fishing, IU basketball, and NASCAR.

He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 381, Rome City.

He was born June 30, 1950, in Fort Wayne to Richard William and Norma Jean (McNeal) Blotkamp. His mother survives in Albion.

Also surviving are a brother, Denny (Diane) Blotkamp of Kimmell; four nephews, Shane Blotkamp, Scott Blotkamp, Justin Blotkamp, and Cody Blotkamp; and a niece, Sara Householder.

He was preceded in death by his father; and a brother, David Blotkamp.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with Paul Leathers officiating. Burial will be in Orange Cemetery, Rome City at a later date.

Calling is Tuesday, February 2. 2016, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
