Obituary

Jack E. Coburn, 60, of Wolcottville died Friday, March 1, 2019, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

He was born November 16, 1958, in Bellefontaine, Ohio.

Mr. Coburn was a machinist and retired from Cook Medical as a quality control manager.

Jack enjoyed fishing, gambling, and going to casinos, especially in Las Vegas. He was an avid I.U. basketball fan, and dearly loved spending time and having cook-outs with his family.

Surviving are his wife, Bernice (Sparkman) Coburn of Wolcottville; a daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Phillip Miller of Ashley; a son and daughter-in-law, Jack Coburn, Jr. and Christy Bryan-Coburn of Land O' Lakes, Florida; three stepdaughters, Kathy (Jason) Campbell of Nappanee, Tracy Williams of Ligonier, and Lena Williams of Ligonier; two stepsons, Brian (Joyce) Sparkman of Ligonier and Aaron (Kari Hankins) Williams of Kendallville; two grandchildren, Karlee Miller and Julian Coburn; numerous step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ed and Bev Coburn of North Carolina and James "Butch" and Cheryl Coburn of Edon, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Coburn; a sister, Vicki Dawson; and a brother, Billy Coburn.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at 5 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with Pastor Barkley Slone officiating. Cremation will follow the service.

Calling is Tuesday, March 5, 2019, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
