Obituary

Iva Jane Neumann, 89, of Kendallville passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 6, 2011, at Kendallville Manor HealthCare Center, Kendallville.

Mrs. Neumann was a 1940 graduate of Northside High School in Fort Wayne. She moved to the Wolcottville area from Fort Wayne. In 1990, she retired from Park Center in Fort Wayne after 21 years.

She was a member of the Wolcottville United Methodist Church in Wolcottville and the Women's Society at the church.

She was born June 24, 1922, in Fort Wayne to Gerry and Josephine (McCombs) Tonkel.

Surviving are two sons, Steven E. (Barbara) Neumann of Garrett and Gary W. (Jacque) Neumann of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Jeanine M. (David) Disler of Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Gallmeier of Noblesville.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald Tonkel and Walter Tonkel; a sister, Donna Fisher; and the father of her children, Edward Neumann in March 2008.

A celebration of life visitation will be held Saturday, September 17, 2011 from 1-3 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville.

Preferred memorials are to the Women's Society at Wolcottville United Methodist Church or to Parkview Noble Home Health and Hospice.
