Ilda Terry, 89, of Kendallville, Indiana died peacefully Monday, December 11, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born May 9, 1934, in Lothair, Kentucky to William and Rebecca (Short) Roark.

On January 1, 1955, in Brimfield, she married Elmer Terry.

She had worked at NoSag and King-Seely both in Kendallville.

She was a member of Five Corners Baptist Church in Wolcottville.

Ilda enjoyed cooking and reading Christian Novels. She was a Sunday School teacher for many years and raised her family faithfully in church. She dearly loved her family and having them all home. She was a wonderful homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Surviving are "Her King" of 68 years, Elmer Terry of Kendallville; two daughters, Connie (Ray) Gulick of Kendallville and Rebecca (Willis) Terry of Kendallville; four grandchildren, Chasity (Chad) Bruce of Kendallville, Lacy (Robert) Baird of Avilla, Adrianna (Zoltan) Herman of Kendallville, and Michael (Nikki) Gulick of Albion; seven great-grandchildren, Drake, Kayla, Gunner, Alivia, Alizabeth, Lilly, and Jayedis; a great great-granddaughter, Railyn; a special niece, Teri Roark of Albion; and a bonus daughter and son, Linda (Bernie) Mullins of Ligonier.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Dale Messer; and a brother, Edward Roark.

Funeral services will be Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 1 p.m. at Five Corner Baptist Church, 2995 E 600 S, Wolcottville, with Pastor Jim Snyder and Pastor Brett Frick officiating.

Burial will follow in Orange Cemetery near Rome City.

Pallbearers are Ray Gulick, Willis Terry, Chad Bruce, Michael Gulick, Zoltan Herman, and Robert Baird. Honorary pallbearers are Lacy Baird, Chasity Bruce, Adrianna Herman, and Nikki Gulick.

Visitation will be Friday, December 15, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the church.

Preferred memorials are to Five Corners Baptist Church.
