Obituary

Hilda L. Schneider, 88, of Fort Wayne died Friday, April 3, 2009, in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Schneider had lived most of her life in Kendallville prior to moving to Fort Wayne. She was a homemaker.

She was born September 3, 1920, in DeKalb County to Clarence and Daisy (Brugh) Getts.

Surviving are a son Edward D. (Donna) Kenestrick of Durham, North Carolina; two daughters, Constance L. (David T.) Andrews of Fort Wayne and Judith A. (Jon) McCreery of Mobile, Alabama; seven grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Virginia Bortner of Albion.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard Kenestrick; a sister, Doris Wilson; a granddaughter, Bethany Wynn; and two grandsons, Jim Bortner and Jerry Bortner.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville.

Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery, Corunna.
