Funeral services will be Saturday, March 14, 2015, at 11 a.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel.

Calling is Friday, March 13, 2015, from 2 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. ***************************************************************************************** Helen Zimmerman, 90, of Avilla died Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at 2:40 p.m. in Presence Sacred Heart Home, Avilla where she resided for the last three years.

She moved to this area 72 years ago, coming from Quicksand, Kentucky.

Mrs. Zimmerman was a homemaker.

Helen enjoyed sewing, quilting, and gardening.

She was born March 2, 1925, in Bolen, Kentucky, to Noah and Francis (Conley) Gibson.

On June 17, 1944, in LaGrange she married Cecil D. Zimmerman. He preceded her in death.

Surviving are a daughter, Erma (Gerald) Klopfenstein of Brimfield; five sons, Danny (Cathy) Zimmerman of LaGrange, Morris (Patricia) Zimmerman of LaGrange, Rick Zimmerman of Florida, Quent (Myrie) Zimmerman of Avilla, and Chris (Tara) Zimmerman of Kendallville; 22 grandchildren; and a sister, Delma Faye Ruff of Wisconsin.

She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Loletta Howard and Tracie Zimmerman.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 14, 2015, at 11 a.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville with Pastor Quent Zimmerman officiating. Burial will be in Sweet Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Zimmerman, Brandon Smith, Cory Klopfenstein, Austin Hartman, Travis Zimmerman, Matt Zimmerman, Scott Zimmerman, and Adam Zimmerman.
