Obituary

Helen M. Stacy, 82, of Wolcottville died Wednesday, February 11, 2009, in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Stacy has lived in this area for 48 years, coming from Kentucky. She had worked at Flint & Walling Mfg. in Kendallville, the LaGrange County Hospital, and Starcraft in Topeka. She was a member of the Wolcottville Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.

She was born June 21, 1926, in Leslie County, Kentucky, to Granville and Ida (Valentine) Begley. She was married January 21, 1953, in Hazard, Kentucky, to Wayne Stacy. He preceded her in death on February 24, 1990.

Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Harold and Connie Colwell of Scott Depot, West Virginia and Larry Stacy and his companion, Cherie Palmer of Wolcottville; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a sister, Bernice Lewis of Florence, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be Friday, February 13, 2009, at 6 p.m. at the Wolcottville Baptist Church, Wolcottville, Indiana, with Pastor Keith Perry officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 6 p.m. at the church.

Additional funeral services will be Sunday, February 15, 2009, at 1 p.m. at Engle-Walker Funeral Home, 301 East Main Street, Hazard, Kentucky, with Pastor Bob Combs officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at Hazard.

Calling in Kentucky will be Saturday, February 14, 2009, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Engle-Walker Funeral Home, 301 East Main Street, Hazard, Kentucky.
