Calling: Thursday, July 3, 2014 - 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home **************************************************************************************** Helen May Boggs, 85, of Butler and formerly of Avilla and Kendallville died Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at 11:40 a.m. in the Laurels of DeKalb in Butler.
She was a homemaker.
Helen was a former member of the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum in Auburn.
She was born March 4, 1929, in Whitley County to Harvey and Dorothy (Gates) Boggs.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Phil and Brenda Latta of Auburn; two stepsons, Tom Fuhrman and John (Cindy) Fuhrman, both of Missouri; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Emil Fuhrman; a son, Raymond Latta; a stepdaughter, Kathy Stremel; a sister, Esther Davis; and two brothers, Kenny Boggs and J.D. Boggs.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 3, 2014, at 2:30 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville with Pastor Regan Ford of the Kendallville 1st Church of God officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville.
Calling is Thursday, July 3, 2014, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
Preferred memorials are to Quiet Knight, Inc., P.O. Box 701, Auburn, Indiana, 46706 to benefit area veterans.
