Obituary

Harold Dean "Bud" Goodman, II, 57, of North Tazewell, Virginia, died Sunday, April 21, 2024, at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.

He was born September 13, 1966, in Kendallville, Indiana, to Harold Goodman, I and Deborah (Pearson) Goodman.

On September 17, 1997, in Tazewell, Virginia, he married Lisa Musick.

Mr. Goodman was a certified mechanic and a jack-of-all-trades.

He attended Mountain View Church of Christ in Virginia.

Bud was a hard-working family man, a great mechanic, and construction worker. He will be remembered as an amazing Dad who took great pride in his grandchildren. He was dearly loved by his family.

Surviving are his wife, Lisa Goodman of North Tazewell, Virginia; a son, Joseph (Angela Marion) Goodman, Sr. of Albion, Michigan; two daughters, Samantha Goodman of North Tazewell, Virginia, and Ann Collins of Stroh; seven grandchildren, Aiden Marion, Joseph Goodman, Serenity Goodman, Arriannah Goodman, Brintlee Goodman, Annabellah Goodman, and Jacob Collins; his father, Harold Goodman, I of Austin, Texas; his mother, Deborah Smart of South Milford; six brothers, Mick Elkins of Princeton, West Virginia, Terry (Vi) Elkins of Stroh, Kenny Pearson of Texas, Buster Elkins of South Milford, Brad (Susan) Goodman of Avilla, and Wyatt Elkins of Stroh; six sisters, Pam (Darrell) Blankenship of Angola, Dee Furlow of South Milford, Violet (Check) Grime of Corunna, Heather Elkins of South Milford, Misty Easterday of Avilla, and Lisa (Ben) Dykstra of Avilla.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Chelsi Goodman; and his stepfather, Vernie Elkins.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 26, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with Pastor Adam Zimmerman officiating.

Burial will follow at Woodruff Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be Aiden Marion, Joseph Goodman, Jr., Brintlee Goodman, Annabellah Goodman, Arriannah Goodman, and Serenity Goodman. Active pallbearers will be Joseph Goodman, Sr., Tony Pearson, Buster Elkins, Brad Goodman, David Burlison, Wyatt Elkins, Samantha Goodman, and Austin Elkins.

Visitation is Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Memorials may be directed to the funeral home for funeral expenses.
