Obituary

Hannah Louise Sheley, 82, of Kendallville and formerly of Ashley and Ligonier died Saturday, February 7, 2009, in Courtyard Healthcare Center, Goshen.

Mrs. Sheley moved to Kendallville from Ashley in 1994. In 2004, she moved to Ligonier. Then in 2007, she moved to Goshen. For several years she had a paper route, delivering for the News-Sun and the Journal-Gazette. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Kendallville.

She was born November 5, 1926, in Decatur to Daniel Webster and Jennie (Kurtz) Hill.

Surviving are three sons and a daughter-in-law, Edward Walter of Woodburn, Richard Sheley and his friend, Paula Alley of Millersburg, and Charles and Rosey Sheley of Cromwell; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and two sisters.

Funeral services will be Friday, February 13, 2009, at 1 p.m. in the chapel at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in New Haven, with Rev. Paul B. Griebel of St. John Lutheran Church in Kendallville officiating.

Arrangements are by Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville.
