Calling: Wednesday, December 18, 2013 - 2 to 8 p.m. in the church **************************************************************************** Hallie F. Meade, 85, of Ligonier died Sunday, December 15, 2013, at 2:55 a.m. in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.

He moved to this area in 1968, coming from Verdonville, West Virginia.

Mr. Meade retired from Sorg Products in Ligonier.

Hallie loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a collector of a variety of objects. He enjoyed show and working horses. He was well loved by everyone he met.

He was born September 9, 1928, in Wilsondale, West Virginia, to Elisha and Mearl (Carter) Meade.

On August 21, 1965, in Verdonville, West Virginia, he married Sarah Hester Tabor. She survives in Ligonier.

Also surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Arlie Mearl and Kevin Kraushaar of Wolcottville; six grandchildren, James (Shannon) Kraushaar of Wolcottville, Matt (Mandi) Kraushaar of Indianapolis, Melody (Dusty) Diehm of LaGrange, Cyrstal (Brandon) Boyer of Jasper, Derek Kraushaar of Wolcottville, and Erik Kraushaar of Wolcottville; three great grandchildren, Hayden Phillips, Kennedy Kraushaar, and Kristian Ellett; and a brother, Ray Meade of Whitman, West Virginia.

He was preceded in death by four sisters and a brother.

Funeral services will be Thursday, December 19, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. in the Lighthouse Tabernacle, 65 East Noe Street, Kimmell, with Pastor Glen Patrick officiating. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery, Ligonier.

Calling is Wednesday, December 18, 2013, from 2 to 8 p.m. in the church, with an evening service at 6 p.m.

Preferred memorials are to the donor's choice.
