Hadney Clevenger, 80, of Ligonier died Sunday, February 3, 2013, at 2:20 p.m. in Parkview Noble Hospital, Kendallville after a long battle with cancer.

She retired from Monsanto, now Silgan Plastics in Ligonier.

Hadney loved to cook southern food. She enjoyed planting flowers and watching them grow. She was a faithful, dedicated Christian and a wonderful mother.

She was born November 15, 1932, in Yellow Mountain, Kentucky, to Floyd and Lyda (Conley) Wallen.

Surviving are two sons, Sam Clevenger of Ligonier and David Clevenger of Ligonier; a daughter, Glenna Miller of Goshen; four grandchildren, Ian Clevenger, Aaron Clevenger, and Regan Clevenger all of Granada, Mississippi, and Amber Clevenger of Shipshewana; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister and brother-in-law, Annalean and Ed Perkins of Kendallville.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Cordus Wallen, Corga Wallen, and Burley Wallen; and four sisters, Janivee Sawyer, Beatrice Bailey, Yvonne Jones, and Maxine "Mackie" Wallen.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 9, 2013, at 2 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with Pastor Kenneth Beverly of the Church of the True God in South Milford officiating. Burial will be in Brushy Chapel Cemetery in LaGrange County.
