Grace A. Spohr, 91, of Avilla died Monday, August 20, 2018, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
She was born January 7, 1927, in Fort Wayne to Emil and Mary (Frank) Graft.
On June 21, 1947, in Fort Wayne she married Stanley Eugene Spohr. He preceded her in death on August 4, 2013.
She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Avilla, the Susanna Circle, Farm Bureau, and a member for over 60 years of the Noble County Home Extension Club now known as Country Friends.
Grace was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was an active member of her church and clubs. She enjoyed judging Mini 4-H.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Lorraine and Richard Butler of Fleming Island, Florida, and Julia and Charles Wolfe of Zionsville; a daughter-in-law, Pamela Spohr of Kendallville; nine grandchildren, Stacy Fortman, Kelly Hart, Jonathon (Chantell) Spohr, Jodi Schlatter, Joseph (Rachelle) Spohr, Lindsey Spohr, Holly (Jeremy) Huckstep, Alexandra Butler, and Amelia Butler; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Frances Harold of Silver Springs, Florida; a sister-in-law, Rosemary Fisher of Avilla; and a brother-in-law, Donald and Mary Jane Spohr of Fort Wayne.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Tom Spohr and Terry Spohr; a sister, Estella Fast; and two brothers, William Graft and Orville Graft.
Funeral services will be Friday, August 24, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Calvary United Methodist Church, 101 Cherry Street, Avilla with Pastor Shalimar Holderly officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Spohr, Jonathon Spohr, Tom Fortman, Tom Spohr, Jeremy Huckstep, and Jack Fortman.
Calling is Thursday, August 23, 2018, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Preferred memorials are to Calvary United Methodist Missions or to Noble County 4-H.
