Gordon Michael Jordan, 75, of LaGrange died Monday, December 5, 2016, at 7:25 p.m. in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
He was a lifetime area resident.
Mr. Jordan honorably served in the U.S. Air Force from 1960 to 1964.
He had worked at Starcraft in Topeka and Goshen, Sylvan Pontoons in Wolcottville, and Smokercraft in New Paris. He was a member of the Catholic Church.
Gordon loved to play the guitar. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and IU basketball. But, his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his grandchildren.
He was born September 27, 1941, in Kendallville to Earl Robert and Betty (Coffelt) Jordan.
Surviving are two daughters, Robin Dion of Wolcottville and Radonna "Dee Dee" (Fred) Sturdivant of LaGrange; two sons, Richard Michael "Ric" (Christine) Jordan of Wawaka and Ronald (Rhonda) Jordan, Sr. of Wolcottville; six grandchildren, Mike (Rachael) Jordan, Ronnie "Jr." (Erin) Jordan, Kayla (Zach) Case, Todd Jason "TJ" (Amy) Riser, Sammy Riser, and April (Arika) Riser; 11 great-grandchildren, Makaylee Riser, Karleigh Riser, Jayden Davis, Hope Grace Riser, Riley Riser, Dixie Marie Jo Case, Bennett Jordan, Cruz Jordan, Riley Case, Ayden Case, and Aryanna Case; his mother, Betty Barr of Wolcottville; two sisters, Sally Watson of Mongo and Shirley Criswell of Wolcottville; four brothers, Robert (Suzanne) Jordan, LaGrange, Mark Jordan of LaGrange, Matt (Cindy) Jordan of Wolcottville, and Derek (Kenna) Jordan of Hudson.
He was preceded by his father; a brother, Bart Jordan; a sister, Toni Fugate; and the mother of his children, Dixie (McKee) Jordan.
Funeral services will be Friday, December 9, 2016, at 2 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with Father Bernard Ramenaden of St. Gaspar Catholic Church in Rome City officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Wolcottville.
Pallbearers will be Ron Jordan, Sr., Ric Jordan, Ron Jordan, Jr. Michael Jordan, Sammy Riser, T.J. Riser, and Zach Case.
Honor guard services will be conducted by Rome City American Legion Post 381, Kendallville VFW Post 2749, Kendallville American Legion Post 86, and active duty members of the U.S. military.
Calling is Thursday, December 8, 2016, from 2 to 6 p.m. in the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Friday.
The family's wishes are for memorial donations to go to the funeral home for his funeral expenses.
