Obituary

A memorial service for Gordon T. Henney will be held Saturday, March 31, 2007, at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel at Shepherd of the Hill, Kendallville. Rev. G. Scott Pattison of Trinity Church United Methodist will officiate. Gordon T. Henney died May 24, 2002, at the age of 99. He was a lifetime area resident, born on March 31, 1903 in Kendallville to Jacob Phillip and Eva (Ritter) Henney. He married Dessie M. "Sue" Kizer on November 21, 1943 in Kendallville. Gordon retired after 10 years at No-Sag in Kendallville. He was a member of Trinity Church United Methodist and IOOF Lodge #316, both of Kendallville. Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Susan & Lawrence Raffo of Burlingame, CA; Marsha Henney of Las Vegas, NV; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a sister, Harriet Thompson of Stockton, CA. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Pete Henney in 1995 and Corwin Henney in 1993. Preferred memorials are to Shepherd of the Hill.
