Obituary

Goldie Short, 90, of Wolcottville died Monday, December 14, 2009, in Parkview Noble Hospital, Kendallville.

Mrs. Short was a homemaker.

She was born July 3, 1919, in Carrie, Kentucky, to Dudly and Matilda (Lovins)Rowe.

Surviving are three daughters, Mary Lee Jent of Wolcottville, Marie Smith of Wolcottville, and Ilda Ritchie of Rome City; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two infant sons, her husband, Ruben Short, a grandson, Jonathan Jent, and a brother Jesse Messer.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 16, 2009, at 6 p.m. in the Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North Wolcottville with Pastor Wade Sturdivant, Pastor Clarence Combs, and Pastor Sam Sawyer.

Calling is from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Lowermill Creek Cemetery in Carrie, Kentucky.
