Obituary

Gloria A. Mynhier, 86, of Wolcottville died Sunday, July 28, 2019, at 8:12 a.m. in Orchard Pointe Health Center, Kendallville.

She was born January 20, 1933, in Topeka to William and Goldie Irene (Garber) Oesch.

On October 16, 1954, in Wawaka she married Gene Mynhier. He preceded her in death on January 28, 2011.

She graduated from the Wawaka High School where she was a cheerleader.

Mrs. Mynhier was employed by the Wolcottville IGA as a bookkeeper for over 20 years. She then worked at Peggie's Creations in Shipshewana.

She was a member of the Wolcottville United Methodist Church.

Gloria loved to cook, garden, read, and mow her lawn in first gear. Most of all, she loved being with her grandchildren and great-granddaughter.

Surviving are a granddaughter, Nikki (Jeremy Walters) Norris of Kendallville; a grandson, Cory (Amy) Norris of Wolcottville; a great-granddaughter, Ava Norris; and a sister, Laverne (Everett) Moon of Twelve Mile.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cathy Mynhier on August 12, 2018; three sisters, Joyce Tierney, Arlene Iden, and Betty Zalme; and three brothers, Stanley Oesch, Bill Oesch, and her twin who died shortly after birth, Glenn Oesch.

Funeral services will be Friday, August 2, 2019, at 2:30 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with Pastor Regan Ford officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Wolcottville.

Pallbearers are Cory Norris, Jeremy Walters, David Prater, Josh Walters, Avery Mynhier, and Dustin Feller.

Calling is Thursday, August 1, 2019, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Friday.

Preferred memorials are to Heart to Heart Hospice or Orchard Pointe Health Center.
