Obituary

Glenna R. Schlegel, 89, of Wolcottville went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, August 6, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Parkview LaGrange Hospital.

She was born December 19, 1928, in Toledo, Ohio, to Alva and Mabel (Dunkelbarger) Justus.

On October 25, 1947, in Defiance, Ohio, she married Vional D. Schlegel. He preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Wolcottville.

Glenna loved reading and sewing.

Surviving are four daughters, Sandra S. Schlegel of Wolcottville, Patricia L. Kimmel of LaOtto, Cheryl A. (Alva) Foster of Spencerville, and Kathy J. (Michael) Cothern of Grove City, Ohio; 11 grandchildren, Thomas (Cathy) Foster, Chaffe (Katie) Bolin, Shawn (Amanda) Kimmel, Thodd (Tara) Marks, Joey (Amber Hopkins) Bolin, Shannon Kimmel, BethAnn (Jeremy) Bowlin, Andrew (Kirsten) Foster, Jaime (Dennis) Vandenberg, Stephanie (Tim Kendrick) Gillman, and Clint (Sarah) Gillman; 17 great-grandchildren and two more on the way.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Vada L. Marks; a son-in-law, Charles Kimmel; four sisters, Mary Dawson, Goldie Musser, Olive VanOss, and Bertha Mae Klear; and two brothers, Paul "Bud" Justus and Alva Justus.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 11, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Wolcottville with Pastor Keith Perry officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Wolcottville.

Pallbearers will be Chaffe Bolin, Joey Bolin, Shawn Kimmel, Shannon Kimmel, Thodd Marks, Andrew Foster, Clint Gillman, and Tim Kendrick.

Calling is Friday, August 10, 2018, from 2 to 4 and 5 to 7 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

Preferred memorials are to the First Baptist Church or to ARK Animal Shelter.
