Glen Patrick, Sr., 79, of LaGrange went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, December 10, 2020, at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville with his family by his side.
He was born July 25, 1941, in Knott County, Kentucky, to Bill and Dosie (Terry) Patrick.
On April 6, 1963, in Hindman, Kentucky he married JoAnn King.
Mr. Patrick retired from Starcraft Marine in Topeka where he worked as a fiberglass engineer. He has also been a Pastor for over 30 years.
Glen greatly enjoyed fishing, listening to hunting and fishing stories, and Notre Dame basketball. He dearly loved his family and church.
Surviving are three sons, Glen (Lesley) Patrick, Jr. of Wolcottville, Arthur Patrick of Rome City, and Larry (Shelly) Patrick of Rome City; four grandchildren, Jacob (Amie) Patrick, Alishia (Cody) Ruch, Britney Patrick, and Amber (James) Caldwell; eight great-grandchildren, Lilliana Alejo, Luna Alejo, Primrose Caldwell, Wyatt Patrick, Caitlin Ruch, Layla Ruch, Alyah Patrick and Westen Patrick; two sisters, Lillie Patrick of Lexington, Kentucky, and Mary Ann Ritchie of Mount Sterling, Kentucky; four brothers, Talbert (Joy) Patrick of Wawaka, Donnie (Edna) Patrick of Ary, Kentucky, Daniel Patrick of Tennessee, and Joe Lee (Glades) Carter of Cumberland, Kentucky; a brother-in-law, Willis Dobson of Auburn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Anthony Patrick; his parents; his stepmother, Emmaline Patrick; two brothers, Carles Ray Patrick and Sim Patrick; and two sisters, Alma Jean Amburgey, and Ilene Dobson.
Funeral services will be Saturday, December 12, 2020, at 1:30 p.m. at Bethel Christian Baptist Church, 2838 East US 6, Kendallville with Pastor Larry Patrick and Pastor Johnny Huff officiating. Burial will follow at Orange Cemetery near Rome City.
Glen's funeral service on Saturday will also live stream on the Young Family Funeral Home Facebook page for those unable to attend in person.
Pallbearers are Arthur Patrick, Jacob Patrick, Stan Stidham, Jeff Patrick, Danny Ramey, and Ronnie Dobson.
Visitation is Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the church.
Per the Governor, face masks are required.
Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville is assisting the family with local arrangements.
